Common sense says we are the same—

but you, the progressive, want to be unique.

Stupidity leads to stupidity until wisdom cannot speak.

“What is a woman” demands a stupid answer.

I’m awake tonight because of my wife. Don’t ask. I want to sleep.

The male gorilla in the jungle will charge if you come too close.

The naturalists on this PBS nature show are making “progress” as they go in deep.

What sort of “progress,” exactly? The guys admit the harem feels “anxiety”

as they track for weeks the alpha silverback and his harem

with machete and guns, the black guys with French accents

declaring, “these gorillas are my family, this alpha is my patriarchal grandpa,

this gorilla, oh noble, calm, and strong, is me!”

Teachers no longer want to “teach to the test.”

They want to focus on what makes their students “unique.”

But unique is precisely what you can’t teach. I wonder if teachers understand this.

Teach outside the box, but teach to the test, too.

Why throw the test out? Sorry, but common sense is suspicious of you.

My wife says I’m stupid. I know I am. I need some rest.

This national election will keep me up. Anxiety is acute

because a woman needs to be president. Crying, yelling. We’re in deep.

I work tomorrow. I don’t know anything. Can I sleep?
